Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HeyLang (“HeyLang,” “we,” “us”), an SMBA system, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, the client dashboard, and the AI marketing services we provide (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information from the accounts you connect, and information generated as you use the Service.

• Account information — your name, business name, email, password, and billing details.
• Connected-account data — when you connect a service (for example Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, or your website/CMS), we access the data and permissions you authorize through that provider so the Service can read your metrics and publish on your behalf.
• Your content — the business information, files, notes, brand voice, and feedback you provide to train and direct the Service, and the content the Service produces for you.
• Usage data — device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Communications — messages you send us and support requests.

How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service — including analyzing your site and metrics, planning and generating marketing, and publishing to your connected accounts under your control.
• To personalize output to your business, voice, and preferences.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

AI processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content and recommendations from the information you and your connected accounts provide. Some processing runs on our own infrastructure, and some uses third-party AI providers. We do not sell your data, and we do not authorize our AI providers to use your business content to train their public models.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• Service providers (subprocessors) — such as hosting and infrastructure providers, our database provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and AI providers, each under contract to protect your data.
• Platforms you connect — we send content and updates to the accounts you authorize (e.g. your website, Google, or social profiles) to perform the actions you approve.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account, we delete or de-identify your information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. Note that content already published to your own platforms remains on those platforms and belongs to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email privacy@heylang.ai. You can also disconnect any integration or delete content from within the dashboard at any time.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation so one client's data is never exposed to another. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

Children

The Service is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
